About Us

Powerhouse Ministries Birmingham was not birthed by human ambition but by a divine instruction from the Lord, given to Apostle Ann Abbott, the Visionaire and Overseer, who heard the call of Heaven to establish a dwelling place for God's presence in England. On 9 June 2018 that call became reality, and Powerhouse Ministries Birmingham was born.

We are a church built on the foundation of prayer, the Word, and the presence of the Holy Spirit. Our mandate is drawn from Jeremiah 1:10 — to uproot ungodly foundations and plant God's divine order — and from Isaiah 61:1-11, where the Spirit of the Lord anoints us to bind up the brokenhearted, proclaim liberty to captives, and rebuild the ruined cities.

We are a multicultural church, open to every tribe, tongue and background, and our doors remain open to the lost, the hurting, the hungry and the searching. In this house, Christ is glorified, the Spirit is welcomed, and the Word is honoured.

At Powerhouse Ministries Birmingham, our vision flows not from human ambition but from the heart of God. We believe every divine purpose is revealed progressively, through Spirit-led encounters that align lives with the will of the Father.

We are not merely a gathering of people — we are a prophetic movement, raising up a remnant who walk in truth, power and purpose. We are committed to seeing souls saved, lives transformed, and nations awakened to the glory of God. We exist for His glory alone.

We believe that the Holy Scriptures are the inspired, infallible, and living Word of God — eternal, unchanging, and the final authority in all matters of life and faith. We believe in one true and living God, eternally existent in three persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit — co-equal, co-eternal, and sovereign over all creation.

We believe that salvation is a gift of grace, received through genuine repentance and faith in the blood of Jesus Christ, who was crucified, died, and rose again for the redemption of mankind. We affirm that true salvation brings regeneration, a new birth through the indwelling work of the Holy Spirit, and the evidence of a transformed life.

We believe in the Baptism of the Holy Spirit as promised by Christ and demonstrated in Acts 2:4 — a baptism that empowers believers for boldness, service, and supernatural living. We believe in the gifts of the Spirit, the operation of miracles, signs and wonders, and that healing is available today through the atoning sacrifice of Jesus and the prayer of faith.

We hold to the hope of Christ's return — that He will come again in glory to gather His Church and establish His eternal kingdom. We also believe in the sanctifying power of the Holy Spirit, which enables believers to live holy, separated lives in obedience to God's will.
