Data deletion instructions

To ask us to delete personal information held about you, send us a request including:

• Your full name, and any other name your records may be held under.
• An email address or phone number we hold for you, so we can find the right record.
• What you would like deleted — everything we hold, or a specific item.

Send your request to info@pmibirmingham.com with the subject "Data deletion request", or use our contact form.

You may also write to us at 5-7 Vaughton Street South, Digbeth, Birmingham, B12 0YN.

• We acknowledge your request and check we can confirm who you are.
• We locate the records held about you across the church system.
• We delete or anonymise what we can, and tell you if anything must be retained and why.
• We complete requests within one month of confirming your identity.

Some records must be kept because the law or our duties as a church require it. These include giving and Gift Aid records, charity accounting records, safeguarding records, and the system audit log of actions taken on records. Where a record must be kept, we restrict its use to that purpose and stop using it for anything else, such as communications.

Where church leaders have connected the church's Facebook Page and the Instagram business account linked to it, this platform holds the connection details for those accounts — the account identifiers, names, usernames, profile pictures, the publishing access token, and a record of posts published from here together with any figures Meta reports back.

To have that data removed:

• A church leader with the relevant permission can disconnect the account in the member area, under Office → Social → Accounts. Disconnecting removes the stored account details and the publishing token from this platform.
• Anyone else can email us using the details above, asking us to disconnect the church's Facebook or Instagram connection and delete the stored connection data.
• You can also remove this platform's access from your own Facebook settings, under Settings & privacy → Settings → Apps and websites.

Posts already published to Facebook or Instagram live on those accounts and are deleted there, not here. Contact us if you would like a published church post taken down and we will remove it from the church's accounts.

We do not hold personal profiles, friend lists, follower lists or private messages of people who follow or interact with the church's Facebook or Instagram accounts, so there is no such data for us to delete.
